I was struggling with what to do fo a salon table. I did not like the original centerline table. With such a small salon I wanted somthing that could get out of the way. I’ve seen many boats similar size to ours with bulkhead maounted tables. I gave some thought to that but I like being able to go forward from either side. My wife said to me, half joking, why not just have it disappear into the floor. That idea crossed all my boxes and had the added advantage of being able to be set at a coffee table height. It makes it nice to be able to sit back and kick your feet up.
